The is a medical form of jacuzzi, being a heated bath in which the patient lies, and pulsating aerated water is jetted on to various parts of the body. This is claimed to be helpful in treating circulatory troubles, paralysis, nervous congestion, and also after burns, frost bite, etc. It usually has controls for temperature, and for the directing of the water jets on to various parts of the body. A simpler form of this is the whirlpool bath.
