An anaesthetic vaporizer with a low resistance to the flow of gas is required in some circumstances, particularly where gas is drawn through the vaporizer by the effort of the patient, or where it is included in the anaesthetic circuit. These are relatively common in dental anaesthesia and in portable emergency apparatus. Examples of these are the Blease Universal vaporizer, which can be used with a variety of agents, and the Oxford Miniature vaporizer, the Rowbottom, AE, the Goldman, Enfluratec 5%, Fluotec 5%, Tritec 1.5% and Ethertec 5%.
