DIALYSIS CLAMP

Typical Number in Hospital: Cost Bands: References:

Peritoneal dialysis as performed in hospitals often requires an electrical or electronic device to control the flow of fluid into the potential space between the membranes of the peritoneum and to draw off the spent fluid after a period of time. The dialysis clamp therefore clamps off the outlet tube while the fluid is being infused, and clamps the inlet tube whilst fluid is being discharged to waste. The device itself consists of electronic or electrical timers and electromechanical gate valves.
