Breast milk may be drawn off for feeding by bottle using a suction device and reservoir employing a suction cup about 6 cm in diameter which fits over the end of the breast. Hand-operated types are available with a simple piston action, and there are also electrically operated versions. More complex types provide a pulsating suction for simulated natural feeding.
